Welcome to the trumpet website for Adam W. Metzler. He is an active performer and teacher that resides in Northern Maine. Mr. Metzler has taught trumpet privately since 1996 and has taught students of all ages and ability levels. Many of his students have received high honors in festivals, pursued trumpet in college, and have gone on to have successful music careers.

Mr. Metzler graduated from the Univsersity of Maine at Orono in 2004 where he received his Bachelors Degree in K-12 Instrumental Music Education with a Trumpet Concentration. While at UMaine Mr. Metzler participated in the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Marching Band, and the Pep Band. He was also the founding member of the University of Maine Brass Quintet and the University of Maine Brass Choir. Upon graduation Mr. Metzler and his wife moved back to NY where he began his Masters Degree in Music Education with a trumpet focus. At this time he has two courses left to complete. 

In November of 2006 an opportunity to move back to Maine and teach 4-12 Instrumental Music at a small school in Northern Maine presented itself and Mr. Metzler and his wife jumped at the chance of moving back to Maine. Currently they reside in Blaine Maine which is about 20 minutes south of Presque Isle. Mr. Metzler is an active performer and teacher in the community and currently can be heard playing with the University of Maine Presque Isle Community Band and the Northern Maine Chamber Society.
